Hilco’s employees are the culture and reflection of our company. Our Human Resources department seeks only the most qualified and safety conscious drivers. We invite anyone who is interested in joining our drivers, mechanics or operations staff to complete an application for an open position.
Maintaining one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry, Hilco Transport has grown to over 375 highly skilled and trained employees. The average length of service for an employee is seven years and we invest heavily in our training to ensure their success as well as ours.
Hilco Transport, Inc offers a comprehensive benefits package. Insurance coverages include medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending account, and accident insurance. Hilco provides a $10,000 life/AD&D insurance policy at no cost to the employee! Employees can increase their life insurance coverage and also add dependent life insurance as well.
Employees are eligible for vacation, holidays, and bereavement leave; after 90 days. Driver vacation days and holiday pay are based on 10 hour days!
To help you prepare for the future, Hilco sponsors a 401(k) plan. You are eligible to participate in the plan after one year of service. Plan entry dates are January 1, April 1, and October 1 of each year. Employees are fully vested at the time of enrollment.
Employees are also eligible for referral bonuses! Qualified positions are eligible for sign-on bonuses. Qualified positions are eligible for uniforms. We are always looking for good people and employees can help. Research has shown, and our own experience supports that new hires brought into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors. They stay with the company longer and are a more cost effective recruit.
